Leisure in the Community Ltd is a leisure management organisation, dedicated to supporting and developing sports, leisure and cultural facilities in the communities in which we operate.
The Society recently brought to an end via mutual agreement its long standing partnership with 1Life Leisure Management Solutions (1Life) and therefore currently has no operational contracts. Since 2002 the Society worked in partnership with 1Life to deliver community leisure facilities and services on behalf of the following local authority partners;
More recently the Society was also able to bring its community focused approach and the financial benefits associated with its charitable status the management of the Wyboston Lakes Health and Fitness Club in Bedfordshire which until recently it also managed in partnership with 1Life.
The Society and its Committee Members are now keen to move forward on to new challenges and are seeking to forge new strategic partnerships which will allow the Society to continue to provide opportunities for local communities to participate and enjoy leisure opportunities and experiences
As a result of good stewardship and governance in recent years the Society is fortunate to have significant cash reserves in order to support in Objects in the future.
